Brian - Co-Founder & Client Relations Lead
Originally from the Chicago area, Brian brings a strong business background and a unique ability to bridge Western expectations with Southeast Asian realities. His strengths lie in clear communication, relationship building, and a deep understanding of how Western clients prefer to do business. Since moving to Vietnam in 2019, Brian has developed hands-on experience with local systems and cultural dynamics, giving him the insight needed to guide foreign investors through the challenges of entering the Vietnamese market.
His American perspective ensures clients always feel understood, while his local knowledge keeps projects practical and efficient. At Far East, Brian serves as the primary point of contact for international clients—translating not only language, but also business practices, expectations, and problem-solving approaches. His role ensures that every client experiences a smooth, professional, and culturally aligned process when working in Vietnam.
Thao - Co-Founder & Operations Lead
Born and raised in Biên Hòa, Vietnam, Thao graduated with a degree in Accounting and Finance from Nong Lam University in Ho Chi Minh City. After university, she expanded her horizons abroad, completing advanced English study programs in the Philippines and Finland. Her years overseas gave her not only fluency in English, but also a firsthand understanding of how Western clients think, communicate, and do business.
Upon returning to Vietnam, Thao combined her financial background with her cross-cultural experience to help international investors bridge the gap with Vietnamese stakeholders. At Far East, she plays a central role in client communication, supplier networking, and behind-the-scenes operations—making sure that every detail runs smoothly.
Thao’s unique blend of global perspective and local expertise ensures that foreign partners always feel understood, respected, and supported as they navigate Vietnam’s business environment.
Dien - Co-Founder Senior Legal & Tax Advisor
With over 15 years of experience in Vietnamese business law, accounting, and taxation, Mr. Dien is the legal and financial backbone of Far East Consultancy. He holds a licensed tax consultant certification—one of Vietnam’s highest-level credentials—authorizing him to represent clients before tax and government authorities. As the founder of a long-standing accounting firm in Đồng Nai, he has guided both local businesses and foreign-invested ventures through complex legal procedures.
His expertise covers everything from company registration and tax compliance to regulatory strategy and government approvals. Beyond technical expertise, Mr. Dien’s deep professional network—with tax departments and government offices in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Đồng Nai, and Bình Dương—gives Far East clients an invaluable advantage. His ability to navigate bureaucracy quickly and effectively means clients spend less time waiting in queues and more time growing their business.
